Today's Ride

Re:

Today was a real 'This is Why' day.

First proper off road ride in a long while.

Going up.

Still going up.....

Coming down.

Sublime.

A really nice gentle ride with a couple of walks. I'm not proud.

Re:

Deepest, darkest and rural Shooters Hill  on Sunday. Steamy and very hazy so no money shots over the city.

Urban mountain biking :)

I like sublime... and deep/dark too. If towers like this one could speak I'm sure it could tell a thing or two both deep and dark... and perhaps sublime too. For reasons unrelated though and unbeknown to me my right leg got way more tired than the left today. Not sure why that is.

A quick run out today to check the bike over :D

Gentle ride down the side of the railway then a quick blast down some nice but short singletrack at the side of the river, great little ride even if my legs said otherwise 8)

Re:

Hey THM, I'm hanging in there, still detoxing, but getting much better. I'm pretty weak still, but going on daily walks and hoping to get back on the bike real soon... :)

Go to hear from you and that you're on the mend. Small steps buddy.

Not the same without your regular posts. Missing the Tamarancho trails etc and regular weather reports and 'Last of the Summer Wine' type exploits of the original crew.

Google it :)

:) glad your getting better Pat.

Here are a few pics for you from todays little ride around Matlock over looking Riber Castle, which is actually a house built by a wealthy person to look like a castle, along some nice but too short singletrack :)

Very warm today, but im on a mission to get out more, and got to make the most of the dry fast rolling trails.

Similar route to the other day, with a couple of added woodland trails and climbs, what goes up must come down, and a couple of stops along the way, great ride, glad i made the effort :D
