Hey tintin-that's cool-we, like you, have only one poisonous snake-ours is the Rattlesnake. I took a pic of one last year on a ride . We almost ran over it on Shaver Grade and I posted it onto Today's Ride that day. Definitely to be given a wide berth Today-Saturday-Hotter out, about 80 F. and a little humid. I hooked up with two friends and they wanted to go up pretty much the same route I went up yesterday, who am I to argue? So up we went-around here, there is nothing but up...

Rattlesnake :shock: cool. One reason I love mtbing seeing the wildlife. At one point today it was so quite I nearly couldn't hear any sounds of modern life

Hey Al-lakes are totally full here, and Lake Tahoe, where I'm going later this summer, is flowing over. Today-Wednesday-Up to the West today about 900' climb...

Today-Sunday- It's been 100 F. or so the last 3 days here, so I've been laying low, but today it's only 84 F. so I went out on a climb to the west of town, about 800' up...

Today-Monday- Hot again, about 86 F. and sunny. A climb up to the South of town, the heat really kills on the climb, so I didn't go up that high today, just about 600' climb...

Today-Tuesday-Much cooler, about 75 F. and pleasant. What difference 10 degrees makes! The ride up to the West to Tamarancho was so much easier than yesterday's shorter climb in the heat. When I got to the top, a whole herd of kids and their guide for a summer MTB camp showed up to do the loop. Sure wish they had that when I was a kid...
