That was at 2 PM, Steven-It kept climbing to 92 F. by 3 PM. Fortunately we only get these Mini Heat Waves a few times per Summer, and after 3-5 days the Great Wall of Fog rolls into the Bay and along the Coast and brings the temps down into the 70s-80s range-one of the great things about living here, along with lots of sunshine...

Thank you for you kind words, Mike and Pat ... and I do agree that anything over 85 is way too hot for climbing, which it was in Norway strangely enough. Locals said it was the hottest summer ever. My timing is impeccable, as always. :facepalm:

Today way cooler. Went out for a ride in my local archipelago. Pretty, but of course it's not Norway. Lots of short steep hills though...

Today-Friday-Out for a morning ride to beat the heat-74 F. when I left at 11 AM-84 F. by 1 PM-probably going up to 90 F. by 3...We headed up to Tamarancho today, about 800' climb...

Slicks are technically illegal to run on the street. There is no MOT in California, we only have smog testing every 2-4 years for cars newer than 1975-that's all...

Yesterday went for a retroride around Zeist in the center of the Netherlands, great scenery met nice forum people and had long talks about old bikes! I am afraid not much pics of the scenery too busy chatting! Lot's of old bikes, Wheeler, Rafty, GT LTS Marin Monocoque, TREK Y22, Mongoose Amplifier and even a Muddy Fox from 1984! We covered around 44 KM.

Yesterday I found the time for a little ride (12 km and looooots of dirt) with my Stumpy. Not a retro ride but MTB is MTB, right the pictures were taken in the southwest of Vienna.
