Today's Ride

We live close to Leeds so I was curious to find a route from home to the new eastern ring road that they've built. It's got accompanying paths and cycle routes all the way along it. Today was the day to find the way with my son on the back of the budget Kona, he's 20+ kg so maxing out the child seat. We managed about 25 miles round trip and I dont mind admitting that my legs were gone on the last big hill back to our village. Now having a well earnt scone and coffee. Next time I'll be going with his sister who can ride reasonable distances on her own, so we might do a bit better.

Beautiful weather here too, the disadvantage of living in the mountains is that you can't find good cakes on your rides!

Found some suitable replacement pedals for the Explosif and set off to finish the ride I started yesterday. Very bright and sunny but still very breezy! IMG_2193.webp
First had to cross the M3 on the bridge that carries the King Alfred's Way route. Lots of traffic headed for the South coast!
