Today's Ride

Bit of a damp and foggy ride in Rutland and Leicestershire today. Was hoping it would lift but persisted pretty much all morning until I got home.

Could be all sorts of “bikes and…. “ in that fog but will be honest and say there was just a field and a pheasant.

Some lucky bugger has this as the view from their garden. Having a good nose at the posh houses is one of my favourite parts of rides out this way.

Yesterday's ride: found a slight variant on my usual route around Clevedon / Kenn

It's all flood plains round here so even though the sun came out it was pretty soggy

Half of the ride with Ingola was great. Nice little run through leafy woods, won't say where, as we only saw the "no bikes" sign on the way out. Then some paved paths to more scenic trails which my lens can't capture IMG_20241018_135542296.jpg
Then onwards to some gravel roads. And finally, limping on bike 10km back to the car with rocks and dirt jammed into my bloody carcass. Not as much fun, there was headwind
