Today-Tuesday-Kinda overcast and cool, about 68 F.-Nice day for a ride, got a pic of the Java Hut in town, the place where everybody meets up for rides, and one of the mural on the Fairfax movie theater...
Looks peaceful and relaxed over in Fairfax, and of course there's a Volvo peaking out...
Well, here's some pics from the second half of the last ride. From Voss to Dale, Norway. There was still snow up on the mountain tops. Very nice compared to the heat below. From lower 90s in the Voss valley to lower 70s up at the lake on the plateau.
Beautiful shots of your ride, 26er! Today-Wednesday-Foggy all around the Bay Area and in the low 60's F. - Into the woods by Phoenix Lake-up about 900' and back to Fairfax...
They sure like their roads steep in Norway, but this one is ridiculous. The Stalheim pass. Only bicycles are allowed to climb it. Funny. The beginning hits you like a wall and from there it only gets steeper and steeper. Enjoy!
As with many folks here, it's nice to have several (or more!) bike to choose from. I find that no matter how hard I try to mix it up, I still get into ruts where I'm riding the same few all the time. I've got two "rider" bikes I haven't ridden in quite awhile... and today was the WTB Ti Phoenix's day. Hadn't been out in 15 months! I need to work out a better rotation system.
A nice ride over to Fairfax and up around "the lakes"... and then back over Sleepy Hollow Ridge this afternoon/evening.
Out climbing with the boy today. Hooning around the Common just for laughs. He realised for the first time that bikes can be fun and not just transport. All good then.
