Spring is here.

Nice because it's certainly not here

First ride in a month. A whole funkin' month Not one pedal was pushed in February thanks to appalling weather, and in the handful of opportunities (literally 3) where I could ride, I was away with work. Absolute shit show.

However, today, NWN 14mph, 7 degrees but felt like 3. A yellow thing in the sky, not sure what it was. High cloud and some blue stuff, equally baffling. Even the moon was confused.

The NW breeze has been particularly chilly! Was fully layered up the morning

Got a little bit of a scare from a deer. It was laying down in the long grass less than a meter off the paved path, jumped up to flee when I rode past. I was so startled, I let out a good shout. In fact, I turned back and gave it a good scolding. It did not seem phased, not concerned with rush hour traffic happening another couple of meters behind me. Can you see it? Nearly invisible until they move
Also, flocks of hundreds and hundreds of geese are arriving. It's too soon, we'll be under snow again shortly
Geese are actually standing on the ice still covering the canal
