Today's Ride

I didn’t ride today. But I did visit the local shop and found that there is another retro-fiend in the neighborhood. He has multiple gorgeous bikes in the shop at the moment. Not pictured are a cherry ‘97 Santa Cruz and titanium Seven in full XTR garb.

Cheeky extended lunch today - thought I'd build in a few miles of the Ridgeway given that I put (very mild) gravel tyres on my Viner winter/retro-mod. It was fun; I shall do it again.

First ride out for a few weeks now, since a car crash I had, didn't want to rush things.

Cool, is one of a few words that could be used to describe the weather today. Did not get out until midday so the sun had time to thaw a lot of the frost and ice, though plenty left on the trails through some valleys.

Could have done with some shades through the woods as the low sun through the trees straight into my eyes created a strobe effect, which made it exciting on some of the faster sections with mere glimpses of the trail now and again.

A couple of friendly dog walkers were the only ones seen on the ride.

Great weather, fun trails, good ride.
