Glorious day again. Cool air, actually cold in the shade, but out in the sun it was nice and warm.
A ride up through and around woods and up to a view point. Lots of people out as you can imagine given the nice weather and beautiful colours again on the leaves that are still on the trees after the recent strong winds.
I was out near home with my 9 yr old son - who lives off road cycling - Colne Valley from wivenhoe to Brightlingsea Essex. Nice trails and very scenic too if you like water and boats.
Fairly mild 12, cooler in the valleys. Slight SW breeze resulting in some welcome tailwind action to Zennor before heading up and over the moor. The stars were still out including Jupiter and Saturn which are looking particularly good. Got home just as the sun peeked out. Lots of deep inky blue, grey and sometimes indigo, with a lot of brown. Autumn is most definitely here.
A peaceful 12 miles this evening, saw noone but a bunch of rats that scarpered as I approached, and a little fieldmouse who ran along the gutter as I neared home. Today was full of work problems and stresses and it's cleared the cobwebs.
Great to see her out and about. I realised the other day that my Hei Hei has almost the same colour and sparkle as this icon.
A mad busy week and another one coming up meant I had to get out yesterday even if it soaking wet. Thankfully I skirted it entirely and taking the southern route around the peninsula meant I dodged most of the steady SE wind. I hadn't been to Lamorna for a while, so it was great to pop down then climb out before the drop to Mousehole.
At Lamorna you take a hard left here before the Wink (great name for a pub). Straight on you hit the sea. The gradient on the right is an indicator for what's to come...
...after you drop down on the right (was left, looking back now). It's a great climb, narrow, twisty, long enough to get the heart-rate up.
