Your weather has obviously warmed right up, 26er.
In no doubt it will pretty quick go back down again just like...

Another longish ride on the GT today. Can't seem to get enough of it... ;)
Caught up with a bunch of racers. One of them riding an Octagon.

Oh, what a day. Started out with Woz blowing his gaskets bc of a broken pump bracket, which he of course had to remove b4 we could even get going. Later got chased by a bunch of cows coming at full speed Pamplona style and finally full stop with a beer can stuck to my front wheel...

A very nice ride indeed!

:D

What's the bike in picture 1 ?

1993 Miyata Pathrunner. Japanese goodness; bonded AL main triangle and lugs, Cro-Mo stays and forks. Not
high-end, it was originally spec'd with 7sp STX-RC which was all knackered when I got it. It's been
re-built from the spare part bin and is long-awaiting a drop-bar conversion.

Close-up it looks a dog, but it's as sound as a pound and manages to carry my fat belly-arse combo around admirably 8)

Re:

Today-Monday-The fog came in overnight and cooled things down here, about 62 F. this morning. But by 11 AM it was sunny in Fairfax, so up 800' to the OG trail into the woods West of town today. I got home from the ride and my old pal Gary Fisher showed up to hang, so I took a pic of him on my deck-always dressed to the nines, that boy...

That's a damn cool hat there... next time you meet Gary could you ask if that story about the trailer and the anvil is a true one or maybe he got his own version you could post here?

The story goes-BITD Gary rode his Klunker over to Joe Breeze's house in Mill Valley, towing a bike trailer. Joe gave him an anvil for Gary and CK's shop. He loaded the anvil in the trailer and rode back to Fairfax with it. There is one good hill between Mill Valley and here-the Corte Madera Grade, about 450' climb and a mile on each side. Gary was riding up it almost to the top when he caught up with a guy on a road bike. He put it in Devil Gear Mode and blasted past the guy just before the crest of the hill and disappeared down and away. Gary said as he steamed by the guy was offering up excuses- "It's a new bike" "My first ride on it" :)
