To Grease or Not to Grease

Big words I believe this one *hic* 🍺 🥴
It sounds all so beleivable, if only it were true.

Really it's just the oils dropping out the thickeners they are in emulsion with. But that wouldn't get me a PhD so I'm going with polymers. :)

you can, with mixing make it runny again, adding a thinning agent that lets the oils reform in to the thickener that will readily evaporate leaving the emulsion is also an option. I'm afriad I can't think of anything that would do this though. :)

I was waiting for it.. And none of you failed me!

WD40 is perhaps the most polarising substance on the planet, with the exception of cocaine.

Its true through, it does strip grease away but a little squirt would probably get the grease moving again if indeed it had seized up.

Don't bite the little hamster
I advise against squirting cocaine on shimano parts. A roadie doper riding campagnolo? Maybe.

nar, thats just for water displacement, it says it on the tin.
No.No. No......dont start asking them to read labels.....dear god! WD sales will plummet, they will start asking tricky questions about viscosity and want to know if its ok to use copper slip on un-alike metals......then where will it stop!

Just leave them be and we can buy all the sticky / stuck bits cheap in 2 years......woo hahahahar......

I don't buy wd40 to get a literary experience, I buy it to go szzssssss, and the louder you naysayers speak the closer I bring the can to my ear
