Tip find ... id help needed......

Don't know how distinguish betwenn Clockwork and Prestige, but FWIW the wishbone/cable hanger area and the b/b guide are identical to my '91 Clockwork.

Yes serial can sometime date it.

Forks a good 'un (see above post of mine Orange ALu forks and coudl easily be original, I had some on my short lived Prestige)

If it 19" and you don't need it... (it's not though)

anyways,
there is no original spec, you buy whichever groupset you wanted to go on it
Suntour/Shimano/Campag/...

Loooong before this site, I did up a Clockwork in that purpley colour with freebie decals from Orange and freebie decals from Pace for the RC30s

I paid £15 for my F&F from a shop in Cambridge (Bowes & Co)

I still have a set of the Orange Alu forks that came from my friends car boot purchase C16 (£16)

So your tip find pales into insignif... insig... inss

oh go away...

Had to chuckle, sorry!

It's an old fashioned cup 'n' ball BB!

But you were right with the Orange Prestige call - the earlier frames circa '91/'92 were like that! ;)
  I'm too young for such things!

No, they are just loosened so far the springs have come out of the tensioning holes.
Going to strip and get it powdercoated maybe very dark blue (seen a Midnight blue that looks cool) with new decals, then re-build with full XT.
Thoughts on colour choice appreciated.

Sure I've got a drive side M730 XT crank arm in my spares box, original biopace rings are knackered but arm is in pretty good nick.
I'll check the arm length & pm you a photo if it's any good to you?
