Picked this up this morning, thought it maybe a Scott but cant find a match.
It has 89 date stamped M730 components except for the Lx drive side crank (the other side is XT). Deore thumbies.
Nice looking frame with chrome on the chain stay (under the paint), neat rear cable guide and unusual seat stay arrangement (lower down the seat tube than most)
Forks not original as they are Aly.
I have had a trawl through all the usual suspects but havnt come up with a match so far so over to the great and good......

I recognise that guide on the BB. Muddy fox of some description, I'm sure they had the rack eyes on the mono section of the seat stay?

Its an Orange Prestige or clockwork from around 1993, possibly a Hope or Royce BB.

Exactly the same as the one I have. (although larger frame size)

Nice find

actually the rear canti stop is different to the orange...

and the mono stay/seat tube/top tube intersect differently

Nice find

Had to chuckle, sorry!

It's an old fashioned cup 'n' ball BB!

But you were right with the Orange Prestige call - the earlier frames circa '91/'92 were like that! ;)

91 92 orange. I recognised that cable guide, and then the canti hanger. i could still be wrong. but looksee like and others saying the same. wow good find!

Never thought I'd get one of these :D - may have to rethink the rebuild schedules cos it fits as well :D Is the purple an original colour as it looks pretty nice and may be good to keep it that way after a respray.
I dont know about the fork but its a pretty solid Aluminium job.
Any one got the original spec and can I date it from the serial number?
Cheers
