Retro Newbie
Hey timax, I see your from Newark...if you used to work at the little bike shop just off the town center then I am probably the chap that bought your prototype frame, together with a pair of Pace forks.
Think you built it up for me IIRC...King aheadset, Royce BB and lots of other trick bits. Sadly I sold it many years ago to a poser that just , well, posed on it realy.
I realy did love that bike, it just gave me so much confidence to ride it fast...well beyond my ability actually, but thats the type of bike it was. I had it for a couple of years and put alot of miles on it..mostly in the Peaks...I lived around Mansfield at the time. Had a few scary momments on it but I had a real fright alone coming down Bamford Clough (spl?) one day and decided to quit while I was still in one piece.
Mind you, shortly after selling it I went down south and worked on an Arabian stud farm and broke my collarbone out riding one day, so the bike wasnt as dangerous as I thought after all
