Tim Gould Chas Roberts built Peugeot race MTB bike

Re:

Market pays what the market pays- but if they aren't there looking, surely that's a decline. Its the same with the sale threads here, is it not..?

Perhaps there is a Job there for you LGF, Retro Marketing Manager/Teacher.

I wonder who built this one. Apparently, according to his brother who recently said that Chas never built frames, it was probably built by Geoff or Winston (who currently builds the DB) . Chas designs. Just thought I'd add that useless snippet of information.

Enjoy your new historic bike - whoever bought it!

wheres the advertising? The publicity?? If its not in mainstream consciousness it will all disappear.

whining about it doesnt do anything, you're vocal about it all, why not set something up yourself?

I would think the Job of a Marketing manager would be to raise awareness of the mainstream consciousness through publicizing and advertising using the History we have all around us........ wouldnt you... :?

Im not convinced i would consider stating the Obvious to be Whining either...

And after a couple of decades in the trade and Marketing, its certainly time for New blood surely....LOL.

Give it a go bud, You know your biscuits youve done a stint in a bike shop, im sure you know the score.

Or perhaps we should just leave Retrobiking in the hands of the likes of the Pros-Closet and the Granny Grinders of this world. They all seem to be making a good living from Promoting and profiting from Retro/old Bikes. Maybe this is the New world Order....Pmsl.

Chas certainly was the builder, maybe he's not so active now but he was in the 80s and 90s having served an apprenticeship under his father. According to the website Winston and Adrian only took over building totally in the last 10 years, well outside the range of this 25 year old bike.
