Noticed a tick on my arm in the shower after today's ride, had long sleeves on so no idea how it got there! Anyway, tried burning it off but think it was already dead, tried pulling it off but it broke in two. So now I have the head end buried in my arm. Anyone had experience of this, will magnesium sulphate (drawing cream, like used on splinters) get it out overnight?

Cheers.

TCP on the head should do it
not your head btw

salt on it whole is apparently the way

If you can get a hold of some elephant crap, rub that into the effected area. Otherwise try some GT85.

is that organic elephant crap ?

Seek Care Immediately If...

* You get a fever, rash, headache, or muscle or joint pains. These may be signs of a more serious disease.
* You are having trouble walking or moving your legs. This may be a sign of tick paralysis.

No, you're meant to be a **chick** magnet.

They're unpleasant, but very rarely cause problems. Don't worry.

My dog gets them all the time, we end up inspecting every inch of her. They get in the strangest places and are removed with special tweezers and a twist. If we miss them we find them hopelessly crawling across the carpet fully gorged with blood. I would have been interested to watch it feed on your blood and massively distend, maybe an idea for Youtube.
