Possibly not technically retro so not sure if this is right section - but it seems ok for now I think unless someone want's to move it off-topic. But it's generally bike related, and I'm not gonna talk about BB or something...
Anyway, has anyone any experience of Thudbuster seatposts?
Thinking of getting one for the Rascal as they come extra long (which is needed) and in 27.2 (er, also needed...)
Thinking it'd be quite nice to take the 'sting' out on what's going to be my new general purpose ride bike...
Never been a fan of suspension posts, but this seems a different form, and the technical side of it seems to make sense - following arcs etc rather than up / down...
The front is going to be suspended with an Amp F3 fork - also kinda arc-following... will they work ok together? Won't cancel each other out in some strange manner and have me over the bars? (don't see any reason why that should happen but thought I'd ask...)
They also seem reminiscent of the original Klein 'Smartpost' (not sure if that's what it was called but think the bar/stem equivalent was called the 'Smartbar' so assumption seems logical enough...) so kinda fitting really. But much less HUGE!
I know there's a weight penalty, but not too fussed about that as it's going to be a pretty light build so things should balance themselves out...
Anyway: yay? Nay?
Did (do) they do a silver version? Silver build and I don't want to be stripping etc if I can help it...
Any experiences, relevant info welcomed.
Ta now.
