Which treadlock should I use for the bolts on my bike, v-brake bolts etc? Is Loctite 222 the best?

i'm not sure on the code, but blue normally for bolts.

It comes in various codes (242, 243, 246, 248, 2432 & 2440) but it's the Blue medium strength stuff you're after.

Loctite 222 is ideally suited to situations where the fittings are very small diameter and/or the thread engagement is long in relation to the diameter, say more than 8 threads (long canti studs or bolts for example), as it requires lower removal torque than (for example) 243.

Loctite 243 is however more suited to applications where the fittings are plated or galvanised - in other words most bike applications.

In practice, either would be fine for any bike application.
