Has to be better than super heavy dinner plate cassettes and the extra chain links required to use them. Internal planetary gears, sealed from the outside world, just leaves you the derailleur to clean. Time will tell on specifics and pricing though.

I'll be sticking with freewheels on my road bikes and shim cass on my mtb.
SRAM and Shimano will be bringing out new varieties soon anyhow! Churn, redundant and on it goes.

@mdvineng that GCN video certainly does a much better job at selling it that's for sure!

I could well imagine my lad getting a bike one day with this set-up, but I think I'm too long in the tooth to warrant the expenditure however excellent an idea it might be.
