The Ventana Wiki - 1985 to 2021

It would be nice to see it!

I am sure it will be fine as per the thread's title (up to 2021 but still this could be set to today).

Sherwood is still behind the company I believe so the originality is still there!

There was another iteration after this with Syntace stuff. But I never got used to the Lefty and when I did a test ride on the then new Rocky Mountain Element 29er, I was sold on that bike and this Ventana got sold off.

Hi there recently acquired this frame, seems to me that it could be a 90’s Ventana? But not sure, any information on this would be be great thanks👍

Interesting frame. Looks to be a cromoly one. Not sure Ventana produced cromoly frames? Perhaps its a very early one in which case a very good find!

Yes, it’s a tough one. I definitely hear mixed stories. That’s for sure. I do know that a lot of people talk about how good their aluminum frames are, what I find kind of odd is that not much information on the steel frames

One of the guys at ratrodbikes.com was a welder for ventana. He's shared a few of his bikes...

"Ventana started out steel but switched to aluminum. They did build a steel coupler tandem that was a work of art.

Their history is a bit on the secretive side. They built bikes for other companies also. It was always hush, hush. A few years back they were building Fat Chance frames. I happen to stop by one day and met Chris Chance. Waaaay back in the late 90s they built frames for a very large bike company. Most of those were built for the TDF."
