Towards the Raikot Glacier and Nanga Parbat 26,660 ft
Nanga Parbat is the westernmost major peak of the Himalayas, and thus in the traditional view of the Himalayas as bounded by the Indus and Yarlung Tsangpo/Brahmaputra rivers, it is the western anchor of the entire mountain range.
If you stand by the Raikot Glacier looking at Nanga Parbat then then turn 180’ towards the North you’ll see Rakaposhi 25,551 ft. in the Karakoram Range - they say the two greet each other in the morning - it’s a magnificent sight.
