The annual St. Patrick’s Day blizzard is here. It just started snowing five minutes ago. Before that we had freezing rain for five hours. Electricity is flashing. Internet on and off this morning. We always get a blizzard close to St. Patrick’s Day. It’s an unwanted tradition. It rained all morning and the weather guesser thinks we will now get up to 20 cm of snow. Yeah.

Shore ice on Lake Superior. I took this on my trip to town. The ice pack in this spot has been blown to the horizon. Further along on my trip the pack ice was from shore to the horizon.

I went to town again today and some of the pack ice blew back towards shore, but it’s breaking up.

We got a dusting of snow last night. It’s pretty, but will be gone soon as it’s +1C.
