The top 10 Retro Mtbs of all time ...according to GMBN

It's hard to take a list from anyone who continuously says Tomac is from Texas seriously. Shidiots.

But he's like the guy that took the drugs and won the big cycle race and then got cancer of the gooch and rode the bike with downward bars right? That's Tomac, Lance Tomac? Go yellow jersey, number 1.

Re:

I always disagree for such listing. Top 10 for why ? The best XC bike ? The best for downhill ? The most iconic ?
And how it was said : it's so subjective !
I'm lucky to own so many different bikes and some days, I want to ride or just looking one, more than other, with no reasons.
It's like nice wine : some days, red is better, some days I prefer white or rosé :LOL:

Might be something to do in the off winter months during arm chair retro biking season. Run a bunch of polls to see what the most important, innovative, best XC, DH etc. Something to chat about and [some] rant about.

Yep, me too. Number 10 cracks if you look at it too hard and number 7 weighs about five tons, how can that make for two of the greatest mtbs ever? :LOL:

Its always going to be a thing of opinion though rather than anything else, like the poster above who rates every klein under then sun

27.8lb = not five tons

;-)

The owner of the shop I raced for's personal one weighed 24.7. It was used strictly for XC/promotion (it hung in the shop on a scale when not in use). Those of us who rode them and raced DH and did freeriding @ Bromont/Ste. Anne on the off weekends bikes all weighed considerably more. Throw a Mr Dirt PBF or FAT, Hopes, Alumilites, Tioga DHs, IRC snakebite tubes at them and the weight skyrockets.
