The other "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread for 98

A friend is thinking of selling his '98 Kona Jake the snake as he's struggling with the riding position due to injury. As you can see it's very custom in spec, the frame was stripped and powdercoated a couple of years ago, and built back up by his LBS.

Extremly well maintained. Medium frame size I believe.

Any ideas on what it might be worth?

Thinking of selling my 2000 Cannondale Super V 700 SX but have no idea what to price it at.

Everything in working order, including the lovely original Lefty front fork.

Upgraded to Shimano hydraulic disc brake front and rear, with the original Magura brakes available if anyone wanted to restore.

How should I be looking to price it?

Can anyone tell me the approximate value of a 2002 Marzocchi Bomber FR series Z1 Wedge fork please?

Recently serviced so good working order.
Cosmetically pretty good too.

I've tried looking on here, google and ebay but not found much.
Any help appreciated thanks.

Hi Guys,

How much would you recommend listing my Mk1 Nomad? It's been in storage for 10 years. I have just bought new bars and stem to modernise the riding position.
Rear brake needs bleeding and the forks need a service.

Any idea about my bombers?

I'm going to be selling them but need to know roughly how much to ask for them, cheers

You’re right it is tricky, a set of 2002 drop-off’s (I know not exactly the same) sold last year for £70. I’d ball park it between £70-100 for retrobike. If you’re ebaying I’d add the usual £30-??? Retro Tax that seems to be the going rate these days 😜

Thanks for the reply - I was hoping I could get £100 + postage for them so I'm happy with your suggestions.

Need to give them a quick polish and take some photos but they're in pretty good shape and were serviced towards the end of last year.

To be clear, I am no bomber expert just my opinion. Personally I think that the most desirable of the bombers are the original metal braced bombers from 97-ish. Then in the 00 there were so many variations drop off, xfly, etc it made things a bit opaque in terms of pricing. But when selling you can always come down a bit from a set price. Can’t go up normally ;-)

What’s a hope rs4 hub worth these days guys? It in good nick, just laying around spare at the mo. Think it’s for road but 32h drilled meant it was sold for all purpose.
