The other "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread for 98

Told myself I'd keep this forever, but now that I'm old & fat my full susser gets used instead. So, this needs to go. I'm struggling to put a value on it, since it's a bit niche and is a post Trek "pariah" Klein 😉

So, 2000 or 2001 Adroit Race frame. Carbon cycles Exotic fork (alu). Specially made headset adapter to allow 11/8 steerer. Set up as single speed with a Gusset conversion kit. AC crankset. Original Bontrager "race modified" wheels with DMR supermoto tyres. X-lite cross country bars. Thomson post & stem. Flite Ti saddle. Avid/DX brakes. Scabby DMR v8's.

Condition is OK but some chips/marks on the frame.

Only one pic at the moment - it desperately needs a clean!

I'm thinking £200 ish, but dunno really. Would love it to go for more obvs.

Any thoughts from the RB hive mind?

I'd have thought closer to 300 but what I'd do is sell that saddle & seat post separate & bung on any old one in its place.

I've a complete front Hope Mono trial front brake, it looks virtually new apart from one small scratch on the bottom of the caliper. I got it in a box of stuff, I'm never going to use it, what's it worth?
Also I have a Mavic x138 with a matching period Hope XC hub is it worth selling them together?
£60-70

Definitely sell together. The rim itself has little value sadly.

Anybody got any rough idea on the value of a pair of Marzocchi Bomber XC 500 ETA forks?
Mint condition with an extra long straight steerer

I can't find any that have sold previously. Any ideas?
They're actually a lovely pair of plush forks

I have a pair of black Campagnolo Nucleon Tubular wheels gathering dust in the garage. They've had very little use (one Tour of Flanders sportive and a couple of Dragon Rides) and are in good used condition, visible brake track marking and brake blocks have rubbed away the edge of the rim graphics but otherwise all good. Lovely wheels but my tubular riding days are over. They have Veloflex tubs fitted but these need replacing I think, cotton sidewalls have lost their glue or dope or whatever holds the threads together, pump up fine but a bit cut up now tho never punctured.

Any suggestions on value please? I will clean them and post pics at some point.

Hi
Im moving house and dug out my old Downhill rig which Its time to move on. Its a 1999 Gen1 Mountain cycle Shockwave. Ive not ridden it for 8 years at which point the Marzocchi's were pretty much brand new. It has a Hope Bigun on the front and a Hope titanium bulb on the rear with Mavic 121 rims. The frame is pretty much unmarked but was re-coated about 10 years ago. I also have the bespoke chain device. It needs some TLC as the pedals are worn, brakes bind a little, cranks are scratched.
I also have the Pace RC150 forks I fitted to it in 1999. Not sure if id be better selling the bike with these on or just to sell the frame? Where would be the best place to sell the bike and thoughts on value? IMG_9578.JPG IMG_9583.JPG .

Thanks

Chris

Not got much info on this other than bought it advertised as was one of the Ti RSP frames, turns out to be far from that sadly!

Would be nice if I can sell to retrieve some of the money as seller done a runner but understand it's likely not worth a lot - any ideas on roughly how much I should list it for?

Is an 18" inch frame and seems in reasonable nick with a few chips and signs of use. (also put in post 98 as assumed it's from then but could be wrong as has the mounts for rear cantilever brakes)

Hi all. I've got an Orange e8 (2003) for sale.

XT groupset, Hope hydraulics, Mavic rims/hubs and rockshox SID (Team) suspension.

I've had it since new - used it for trail rides on the south downs and snowdonia. Rides like a dream and has never been crashed. I've taken great care of it and have recently replaced the chain and cassette. It's in great condition.

Just wondered what people thought about the price? Any thoughts would be much appreciated - cheers, Harvey

have you still got this? Love mountain cycles after my trusty rumble back in 2004. The pace forks suit the ager really well. How much were you thinking?

Hello, I am selling my Trek 8000LT, and wonder if anyone could give me an idea if it has any value.
I don't know if it is officialy classed as retro, or just a bit old!
It's a lovely bike, from 2000 I think, it has all the original kit on it. Shimano deore chainset and Judy rock shox forks.
I've had it since 2005 and it has been serviced fairly regulalry - although not recently - and it has been ridden pretty hard so may need some tlc!
I don't know if it worth anything or just an ebay job? Thank you :)
