The other "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread for 98

Re:

Any idea what this is worth?
Trek EX9 2009 frame and shock, quite few light scuffs from use, but not dents or cracks. Recently replaced all the bearings and the RP23 shock was serviced, comes with Hope headset.

I have the frames 140mm Fox forks(RP24) which are essentially Trek rebadged RL32, that was going to sell separately, which from watching EBay recently seem to go for around 180-200. These were serviced same time as shock.

Cheers
Phil

Re:

Picked up this F series Cannondale from a friend of mine....he said I could take it, check it out and let him know how much I think its worth (with a view to me buying it).

Its got M95* XTR rear mech and Vs, the remainder being good Coda components and some nasty sram brake levers

The Headshock needs a complete strip and service (although it is smooth) and it needs headset bearings

There is also a stripe of mismatched rattle can blue paint used to go over some light chips/scratches. That can be removed with a bit of patience and elbow grease.

Given the shock work required...what do you think its worth ?

I'd suggest about £200-250 for the Cannondale. I'm basing this on what I think It'd go for on Ebay with all the work it needs doing to it.

Personally I'd say £140 was a bit of a low ball offer especially if it's a mate! What F series is it? As a decent F700 or above should probably make about £300+ on Ebay, especially in that colour. What sort of price does your friend want for it? I'd suggest going for about £175 especially as if they bought it new it was probably close to £1K!

Thanks mate....I reckon it might have been a 700 or maybe 1000 ...the Xtr is definitely an upgrade.

I will go in with 175 and see what he says. I paid £150 for my daughters f series frame but it was in better condition although only had a mc60 headshok not an oil damper.

Cheers for the advice though

Thinking of selling my Mr Dirt FAT forks. They come with the Mr Dirt hub with top quality wheel and disc. Also axle for storage when the wheel isn't on.

Any one got any idea of value? I know these are as rare as rocking horse s***

I've got an unused set of Look Fournales linkage forks that I bought quite some time ago for an electric bike project but never used as they were the wrong size. They're as near to NOS as makes no difference, in fantastic as new condition, in fact the only thing missing is the box and manual.

Size is Large for a stack height of 157 - 172mm, and I have the brake adapters for both Vbrakes and for Disc. They are the MK2 version of the fork, with proper bearings all round and some fairly astonishing CNC'd linkages. They are light as hell, total featherweights even compared to the carbon Pace RC-40's that were fitted instead.

I've seen these sell for stupid money on eBay, a set last year went for £800, but I can't imagine getting that sort of cash on here! What's the current thinking on value / suggested price for sale?

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Just before starting university, I was told my relative had an old bike I could use. Went along to see it, however I made the decision not to take it to uni as it was too nice. So now it sits in my shed back at home. Just wondering how much it's worth. It's kinda a barn find as it's been cycled once since new, from the cycle shop, then dry stored since....

Just a few snaps from my phone when I collected it. Will take more photos this weekend when I go back home.
