Re: The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff and sales thread

Wow!!

Do you remember the New Yorker with the equaliser on a flexi arm , I thought that was the coolest stereo I had ever seen lol

Re:

Do you remember the Pioneer KEX M800 ?

Left it in my old golf when I sold it ... Wish I'd kept the stereo !

Yup. I sold an early KEX to a member here for his Mk1 golf gti

Loved the fact it had no onboard amplification , i had a GM41a in the glovebox and a GM3200 ( i think ) in the boot !

Also , it was the first car stereo i'd ever seen with bass , mid and treble adjustment.

Happy days !

Audioholics: my home theatre sub rumbles (like thunder in the distance), even when there is no input - just the sub plugged in to the mains and switched on.

Is it fubar?

Re: The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff and sales thread

A pure guess that something has gone in the amplifier (no shit sherlock!) and is easily fixed such as a capacitor - Apache is your man. Send him the board rather than the whole sub though...
