I'm with Timet too, yeah I think its a myth about inferior Ti used to make them, problem is they crack... often, and I don't know if this is down to the Plasma Arc welding/manufacturing process. Just the machining on the dropouts and welding does look a lot cleaner on my DBR Axis TT, it's also lighter. Anyhow lets leave the Dyna Torus debate alone, any other lightweights out there?

Was the ti produced by IMI or Timet? I forget which, but certainly not made from melted down Russian Migs as the story I've heard suggests.
Mine have a Timet sticker on them. Agree....was put to bed.
