The lightest bars in the early 90s

The last place i want ultralighness is a handlebar followed by stems. Btw... the best riding bikes are never the lightest.
While I agree with this, on the flipside I have some unbranded HL alloy bars on my Kilauea, wanted something polished, logoless, 580mm and 5º, these fit the bill at the time, they weigh in at 280g ish and just feel dead, no shock absorbing qualities at all. I'm on the lookout for something lighter.
I have RC-130s and Titec 118s both around 125g at 555-560mm

I dont recall the exact date the Bontrager 118 titanium bar came out. 94/95? I wouldnt recommend that 118g handlebar, mine bent riding fast over tree roots when I weighed 130lbs. I took the folded handlebar back to the london bike show & gave it back to K.Bontrager in person who said: "sorry, titec released it early"
I had a set of Bontrager titec 118 titanium bars that I rode for many years without any problem.
Eventually sold them after I moved over to road bikes.

Pace RC130's get heavier with the Pace end plugs in, necessary if using bar ends to avoid crimping. My pair at 540mm weigh in at 145gms with the plugs in.
Zoom did a 130 handlebar too, the Zoom 155 was everywhere BITD at a bargain price.

Wasn't Fred a bit later than 1992 though?
I think you’re right. Wrecking my brains to think what I was buying back then. Syncros, USE, Ringle and Onza are the only names I can think of, and I don’t think they all did handlebars

Had some RC130 and they felt silly light, that said they were pretty skinny. Have a couple of USE bars I could whack on the scales but I think they’d be heavier
