Although a black build would look amazing (I don't think you can got too far wrong either way with such a great starting point) I'd go full M900 c/w silver seatpost (XTR preferred but not required), silver handlebar if you use the standard stem, silver rims and tan wall tires. I'd be very tempted to use the bullmoose though. The bullmoose is painted to match and is, well, amazing

Can you confirm the bullmoose is titanium? The welds look more fillet brazed steel

simply gorgeous! i'd consider your toad completely 'legit' as it was made by an 'original artist' from bitd, not like the toads offered by the two mikes ca.2011 which were made by a builder in portland, oregon, i believe? second, i immediately thought as roy did in going with a black build. xtr900 drivetrain, black xt 730/732-hubbed wheels to keep it more period-correct, or chris king hubs if you want to 'bridge the gap' between old and newer. just depends on how far you want to take it. the hamsters in your cranium will be working over-time running in their wheels for coming up with the 'perfect build'!? that's half the fun! i look forward to following your progress/choices. happy trails!
