THE LAST TOAD 30th Anniversary Edition Off Road TOAD

Wow that woke me up quickly, what an awesome project!! I mean how good have you been this year ?!

And since you asked: I´d deck this beauty out with XTR900, elegant&subdued, perfect function despite being retro. But I´m curious what your take will be.
Good call always a fan fave!!!

Similar to certain auto makers producing 'continuation' cars from original or recreated jigs, very cool but not considered 'original'.
I really don’t see it like that but each to their own..honestly who cares if the shoe cobbler makes a particular style of shoe again in the 80s..and then again in the 90s…and then one last time in the 2000’s? It’s the shoe makers shoe…can't get any more original than that 🙏

Oh luckily Chris had a bunch of his original NOS parts still that he used for the build ❤️

a true beauty you have jim. looking forward to seeing what you
decide on for the build. i'd consider black components is all i can suggest.
take your time and think it all thru.
Hey Roy, thx for your suggestion, I agree black components would be a nice touch. I recently picked up some NOS early XRT parts, but like Paul’s brakes and IRD too

This is a very interesting concept, which I will need to ponder on; is the craftsman more important than the company in the manufacture of the bike? I think as long as the serial is clearly marked, as has been done by Chris, (so there is no attempt to deceive) I think it is an original. It just has a different story of how it got here. If Paul were to make another Romax today, to me, it would be another Brodie, regardless of whether he owns the company.

Yes, thinking about all black build and trying to find period correct nos parts, or is any of those 90s companies are still around making quality old school parts will see…thx for asking

Morning Matti, I agree with your critical thinking and would like to add that this build was given the go ahead by the original owner of the company 🙏
