Well, after a few fistycuffs and handbag slaps, its here.

FRame: very possibly reynolds 853 tubing with ornate cast BB/ lugwork. 98% immaculate, just some minor storage marks.

My usual budget build mishmash of parts - trying to get a Shimano 600 front mech

3ttt stem with some cool looking GB anodised bars

grey anodised (exage 500?) 7spd shifters

600 rear mech

105 chainset

shimano headset

shimano 105 BB

NOS 600 brakes to be fitted when they arrive

600 hubs rebuilt with new 7spd freewheel and seals with Campagnolo rims

mishmash Sram/ Shimano 7spd cassette 11/12/13/14/15/16/18t

it still needs:

tyres

27.0mm seatpost

and bar tape

I fancy yellow' blue tape with blue tyres or yellow/ black with black tyres

It's going to be a nice bike but I've never seen a Claud Butler anything like that. I saw it on the other thread and half wondered if there is another maker with CB initials? It almost looks 'to good' to be a modern Claud.

I know what you mean - however it has the 1994 Star Trek CB headbadge.

Not one single hint of a serial number on the whole frame.

Tell me more about the head badge please LGF, what years did they appear on?

Cheers

from about '94 to '99 after that I dont know.

Loving the web lugs...

Done that well, it looks good.

Does the lack of a serial no indicate team frame????

Ok - I'm thinking brown Spoon saddle with possible brown tape

But - what tyres?

what other tyre/tape/saddle suggestions please.

It might also be worth pointing out - Everything bar the calipers came from the tip, inc tyres, cables, innertubes and so-on. Thats as far as my budget stretches.

like that.

Go Yellow (just a thin stripe on the tyres if possible to avoid overly yellowyness

Not brown. No no no not brown .........

PS - does your tip have a mail order catalogue?

Wow putting on a set of all black tyres always works wonders. As for the seat and tape I'm tempted to say just go for black.. Would look great in my opinion.
