:shock: It's now 2020...and car ownership is a thing of the past for the majority of the population, and housing is a major issue with many communities taking to the wilder areas and establishing smallholdings. :shock: Money is scarse or meaningless and banks no longer cater to the masses.... :? ...as a result transport is stuffed for many people.....EXCEPT US
So........what is your do-it-all Retro mtb? It has to be retro as suspension is too much maintenance and spares are no longer available.
My choice i think would have to be steel...easily weldable...simple design...able to fit racks/ luggage carrying capabilities...so a basic GT would do me. Only one bike allowed in 20 20...so the choice is critical...

I'll still use the Alfa- simple 60s technology, a garage full of stashed spares, a workshop to make what I cannot get and I could make my own fuel!! Cuba manages to keep all those cars going 40 years after being cut of by uncle sam- I'll just do likewise!
