The Clockwork is back !

I started a thread in the 98+ section about this. Thought it was a proto so had time to change their mind on an alu Clockwork and bombarded their fb page to stop them. Too late I see. I once wanted to have a Clockwork from each era (say 1989, 1993, 1998, 2007). I don't now. :(

Hmmmm...

Right - take the decals off and its 'Generica Commonista' - I see a lady riding to work on a Trek version of this.

Bloody hell, just checked the site and they've had a proper cull. No P7, Pure7, Elite, ST4, G2,3,4.... and the Crush has been downgraded.

Show's what sells these days I guess. :?

'mountain biking' is not what it used to be - its a shrinking market with 'leisure' bikes and road bikes taking the major share. And with a plethora of perfectly good used bikes out there, cycling as a business is not something I'd want to get into.

I don't care what Orange decides to call it, this is NOT a clockwork and I will never accept that name on this sad excuse for a bike.

Agreed..take the stickers off and it could be for sale in halfords, walmart or asda

things must be tough for orange if they are going for generic blah

I used to think of orange as a British Surly...a bit odd, unique and quirky

not so much now and these blah builds with retro stickers do orange no favour..now if they had built a non suspension clockwork in line with the original

I actually have a soft spot for Orange, and i will freely admit, i think i always will.

In a market far removed from the way it was in 88/89, i am glad to see they are still here at all to be honest.

With a Massive influx of BIGBUSINESS bike chains buying up extinct names like "VITUS" and going direct from manufacture to retail customer, the market has become ferocious in my eyes, add to it others like ROSE, and other direct sales competitors it must be a bloody nightmare for both UK based brands and Importers.

they finally got around to using a similar Clockwork graphic too.
