The Broken Parts- help each other repair Thread!

Cool.

I'll take the topcaps, lowers, and possibly the damper assembly. It might fit the 98 uppers and would give more travel :)

Just had a quick look at the 99 SID XC shematics. The damper is a screw in type whereas the 98 SID uses circlips (snapring?) to secure the guts into the stanchions.

If this 99 is dead I might take the whole thing if that's possible? Ive got a 98 SID service kit so maybe with that and the parts from my '98 I can build up a working 'frankenSID'. I would preffer 80mm travel but at the very least I'll have some 99 lowers and retaining bolts so I can use the 98 fork.

Can you tell me the steerer length of your fork?

Any idea of postage/import costs from the US?

i need the angled spacer that sits between the headset ans the steerer tube for a 1/18th diatech headset

thanks

I've seen them new in petra cycles or maybe a similar shop to that. Not cheap though and possibly only the two 1" sizes left.

I only know as I've been looking for a 1 1/8" size for a long time ;)
