I think you could be right. The fork crown also points to Falcon. I think they are just Halfords stickers from the UK car chain

Thanks, guys! Falcon is the brand which occurred to me as well. Haven't been able to find any confirmation, though.

Halfords was very active (and successful) in Holland during the seventies, eighties and nineties. Both in aftermarket automotive supplies and bicycles. I kinda miss them.

Speaking of Falcon: here's another one I believe to be British:

I built it up with bottom-of-the-barrel parts, and it turned out to be a pretty nice ride.
