When is '90's MTB stuff going to hit UK bike jumbles in a decent volume?
I went to 'The Big One' at the weekend, it's my closest and past experience suggests that there is no point travelling too far to these events as the MTB stuff is generally slim pickings.
Same again this time, perhaps worse than previous years. There were a few DX mechs and an XT spd or two, but nothing to match the swathes of vintage road stuff.
I guess it may just be because the MTB scene doesn't stretch anywhere near as far back as the road scene, but I live in hope each time I attend (though I keep saying I won't be doing that again...).

You didn't buy Caroline Alexander's Klein Pulse then? There was a bit of MTB stuff, but a very small percentage of what is available for sure, I bought about a third MTB, a third road and third 'touring' stuff, it wasn't as good this year as the last two I have been to (missed the one previous to this one though). I always find it such and odd mix of fantastical prices for over-restored things and silly low prices for great things that people either don't recognise or just want rid of. Its two hours each way for me but was probably worth it, mainly cos I enjoy the digging about in boxes of stuff and finding the one thing that has gone unnoticed to everyone else that (sadly) makes my day. Spotted a hidden Suntour XC Pro grease guard BB as I was leaving, but had no cash left, maybe next time...

That £850 Klein was very tired - not for me thanks!
I bought some repro brake blocks. Nearly bought a tyre but it was a black wall and only a single so would have been unpaired for god knows how long.
I said to my wife when I got home that the problem is I could replicate the MTB stuff on offer if I were to have my own table, and I'd fully expect I'd return with it all.

That ship has sailed. The hayday of 90's mtb parts at bike jumbles was 10-15 years ago, oh for the days of NOS Topline cranks for £20 & £80 Litespeed frames
