Snowcat Magnum 44's from Alaska, they're great, can take anything from a 1.95 up to 3.0. They were the original fat tyre rims, although by todays standards they're not really fat at all, they look so sweet though and make even harsh riding bikes like this just that bit more comfortable.

I hunted for months after seeing this bike posted on here...

Finally found some last year, very fortunate that they had been barely used, they were relatively cheap but shipping from Alaska doubled the price, worth it though, I love the way they look and ride.

What size tyre are you running on your Klein with these rims? Can you run a little less pressure with out rolling sidewalls on cornering?

There is just about room for 2.5's, those are 2.2's at 50 PSI so there is no issue, I ran some 2.3 knobblies at 30 PSI for some rougher trail riding, it was fast and very twisty, but there was no issue that I noticed.

Indeed, I am not into fat bikes at all, I don't live in the sahara or the arctic, however wide rims are another matter, that clean box section aesthetic and the added comfort they provide, there are some nice fast rolling tyres available in the right widths too giving almost seamless transitioning from road to trail.
