Cheers mate, How's the C16r doing?

I fell in love with Purple BITD around 1993. Have had a secret fetish ever since

The silver frame was just the perfect base to highlight the Maximum Purple Ano!

Re: The "3 way" Kona project no 2 finished Page 7

Went out for a ride today, first in over a month (and there was a longer gap before that) so I'm out of shape. Bike performed very well, just some slight adjustment to the Front mech required 3/4 of the way round as it stopped wanting to go into the granny ring under load.

I love the gripshift! never used them before, so light and responsive! knock the socks off the Sachs Wayey's I've had in the past!

It must have been good as I did 18.5 miles with 4500ft of elevation! Really pleased with it!

Best bit was I was going one way and a group of guys on modern bikes were coming the other, just as I passed them, one turned to his mate and said "Now that's a proper bike!" did make me smile!

Sweet lord - you didn't hold back on the bling! If you're gonna do it, do it with style and you've done that - well done. I'll be curious to see how the paint/finish holds up after a few wet, muddy runs.

The paint should be ok as it's powder coat, the ano we'll see but I did fit helicopter tape to the cranks to avoid heel rub a bit! Did. Get it covered in crud on Sunday
