Back to cheap cycling - retro has nothing to do with it, theres plenty of cheaper stuff to be had. Even back in 2011 as I was turfed out of said bike shop, one of the mechanics had bought a little reynolds steel MTB with decent forks etc for around £350 on some sort of special. Zip back to 2014 and an RB member had bought something pretty decent for around £1000 as the company that made it had dispappeared.

Nothing was as good as my £47 Raleigh RSP300

I think it's too easy to get carried away with thinking about it, just get out there and enjoy the freedom these bikes bring
