Temple bikes - opinions?

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with Temple bikes from Bristol?
They look nice.
They are also overpriced, in my opinion, but nice nonetheless. I wonder how they are to ride though.

Cheers

Re:

If you like their stuff why not just do what they look like they've done and order the frame and parts from the far east, you could build it yourself for under £1000 and cut out the middle man....

Re:

I had not thought of that.
I'd love to make my own.
How do you go and buy a frame from the far East?

Re:

Google it - there are loads of options about if you dig deep enough. You say you'd love to make your own....why not do this instead? It's piss-easy and unbelievably satisfying if you've even some degree of mechanical aptitude, which you probably do if you spend any time messing around with bikes...

I built my first few fillet-brazed bikes with the most basic kit I could find on Amazon, anyone could do the same if they could be arsed....I sincerely wish more people would just to understand there's no mystery about it, it's just a few tubes joined together at predetermined angles. A bikes a bike....build your own, go for it!

Hehe, if I was at home, and had access to my workshop, I'd try doing that, but here I can only attempt putting a bike together using a pre-made frame.

Not sure I'd want to go back to quill stems and threaded headsets like they have on the majority of models any time soon.

There looks to be a lot of unbranded components/ older technology fitted for the price? Mainly fashion bikes targeted at people who just want something that looks classic to cycle to the shops?
