Hey Guys/Gals I bought a 1996 Y22 a few months ago on here and I have used it around sherwood pines red route about 5 times and the front forks have gone FLAT. there is no life in them whatsoever!
I'm not sure what to do or where to go to get these fixed?

All your help is very much appreciated.

The elastomer stack in each leg will have turned to dust or goo. You can get replacements but you'd be better off getting some speed springs instead, assuming your damper cartridge is working.

theres a guy on here i think it was gt steve do a search for him he has a link on his posts showing what to do with rockshox judy's and how to go about getting some kronos springs for them and how to fit them very useful guide well worth the look will tell you all you need to know

I'm a proper noob when it comes to mtb's. does it have a damper cartridge? Am I best to take them to a shop?

Thanks for your help

I was a complete noob with shocks, but I managed a strip down and rebuild in a couple of hours..

They're pretty easy to work on and if you need a helping hand gimme a shout... :D

Alternatively, where abouts are you? There is often someone who is prepared to help other members here for the princely sum of a cup of tea and a biscuit or two

I'm in Nottinghamshire mainly but I'm willing to travel anywhere as I really do like this bike.

Thanks for all the help guys

I'm only down the M1, in northamptonshire, if you're passing anytime.

I have a spare set of brand-new kronos springs sat here too.. ;) best mod you can ever do to them, imho, is ditching the elastomer stacks inside and get the springs in... ;)

Wow mate that'll be cool. I often go to see my mate at Kettering. I'll send you a pm when I'm going there.
Thanks for your help mate.
