They're cheap and work pretty well. Got them on 3 builds, surly 1x1, KM and this one now. I will be installing the v brakes tomorrow. You have Araya rims there. But the most i like in this build are those break levers
Yep pre 2015 geometry change. This one is a 2013, runs 29 but runs 27.5 just fine as well. The 1x1 is very early, beginning of 2000s.Thats the earlier karate monkey with rigid fork. Is it a 29-er? It's one of my desired bikes, a cromo 29er mtb with rigid fork for bikepacking.
You mean the gearing? Both are very cool but it is pretty tough with 1x1
I ride SS on all my bikes, it's tough sometimes but you get used to itYes ss mtbing is a hard to do
You should! Never tried that myself. I will be toying with internal gears in the near future but I doubt I'll ever go away from SSI'm thinking of building a 3x1
I usually find them tacky, but the machining on the Tech version is quite nice. It is the first time I haven't spoken out against an adjustable.Good to see you riding adjustable though, some find that tacky, but it's super useful
Yeah a lot of them are horrendously machined. I have seen other nice ones but usually very boutique type stuff.I usually find them tacky, but the machining on the Tech version is quite nice. It is the first time I haven't spoken out against an adjustable.
