Hi,

Anyone know the seatpost diameter of a Team Marin 90-91'? :?
Not received the frame yet, but their is a post i'm after and i need to check to make sure it fits.....finishes on ebay soon too....

Hope u can help. :D

Cheers,

Drew

Is 91 the Zolatine one? If so it's definitely not 27.0 as I have one with a shimmed 27.2 post and still not right (the shim is a proper one but I don't know know what size I needed so in true bodge style I am shimming the shim. Unsuccessfully).

Sorry this is not really helpful but I wouldn't be surprised if it's an odd size like 28.8 - pehaps I'll try a 29.4 and get a bit more of an accurate guide?

My '91 Team is 30.? , I'll check tonight for you if I can.

It's zolatone with red forks.

It would really help me and 30.? sounds about right to me

Yeah, the 91' is the zolatone paint with pink forks/stem/bars. Unless it's a 90'. Not sure which years they did zolatone....was it only 91'?

Anyhoo, if u can confirm re: 30mm or there abouts that would be great....

Thanks for the help folks....v helpful as per usual....

Drew :D

I checked the seatpost size on my '91 Team and it is a odd one - 30.3  Made by Strong.

Picture attached is soon after I got it so is still being fettled with, saddle going to wife's bike and rear wheel nicely trued by Reluctant.

And some white overspray to be cleaned of pedals and crank!

30.3, my word that is an odd size!

Nice looking Marin Team, did it come with that NOS rear mech? And the fork, while very nice, looks non original as the one it came with was the same shocking pink as the frame decals not that it really matters.
