foot hit his mech during the Ritchie's crash which stuck him in that gear.

Froome put his hand up for assistance

Both running DI gears?
Would make me glad I can't afford it.

And good to hear Porte should be back on a bike in 4 to 6 weeks.
Thought it might have been a lot more serious than that!

Yeah, what a crazy day. Aru showed openly what type of rider he is, not that anyone thought differently, he just openly confirmed it today.

That'll put him well down the GC table though ;)

Just shows how hard these guys are pushing it on the descents. If Sagan was still in the race he'd have bunnyhopped the verge and manualled down the rest of the descent. Maybe.

Re:

Got to say, Froome doesn't seem to be put off by a technical descent. He looked super confident.

Re:

Is Froome gonna crack?
Is Aru on the juice?
Poor Porte, reckon this would've been his year.
It's looking less predictable by the day..

Re:

It's getting tight on the GC now.

How Sky can control up to the last half km on a mountain stage is beyond me.

Re:

As was pointed out by one the guys announcing the race (can't remember which one) Sky has the budget to pay the best of it's domestiques, like Landa and Nieve, and Kiryienka, about $1 million US a year apiece. Those guys are all capable of finishing in the top ten in the TDF if they were team leaders themselves
