TdF 2017 chit-chat

Re:

He was in second place to Thomas, but beat him to the top of the climb by more than his deficit + he got 4 seconds time bonus for 3rd place on the stage...

Froome is looking good so far, I think he's in a good position to claim the GC if he continues to perform.

Re:

i'm watching it in the back ground at the shop, been really enjoying it, bummed about Cav and Sagan,

i think the crash was a combination of factors and Cav came off worst, i thought that one of the camera angles showed Cav was already falling when the elbow went up, but also the elbow was in front of Cav and actually didn't hit him, the elbow was up because Sagan was trying to regain posture on the bike, don't forget that Cav had his head on Sagan's shoulder trying to barge him, that said, Cav was coming from behind Sagan in a tiny gap that was already getting smaller but he was on the line of Demare's wheel and then Sagan went for the same wheel but at the time was slightly infront of Cav.

but either way i think it's a bummer that both are out as they make the sprints very exciting.

chuffed for G to be in yellow for a few days, bummed to see Quintana go pop on the first big climb, hopefully it won't be a defend the yellow for the next 2 weeks type tour, i'd like to see it change hands a bit

Have you seen the profile for Sunday's stage? Well worth a watch for the afternoon.
