Tange Frameset Decal Orders - be Quick!

I believe the 92 Explosif was made of Concept, but on the 93 frames only the seat tube and the stays were Concept. If they used a Concept sticker, this may have been only to satisfy a requirement under US consumer-protection law that any sticker must refer to the part that it's fixed to - in this case, the seat tube.

I've seen two different descriptions of the top and down tubes on the 93 Explosif - one that they were both Tange Prestige Ultimate Ultralight (which confusingly isn't as light as Superlight!), and the other that the down tube was externally fluted, implying that it was Tange Prestige Ultimate Ultrastrong (which the 94 Explosif definitely used). Either way, Ultimate was a higher-end tubeset than Concept, so it might make sense to use an Ultimate sticker.

May I ask you guys if you have fluted downtubes, or is that getting a bit personal?

My 94 Exp has a shaped downtube (kinda ridged running along the length). Don't know if that is fluted!

Have asked for the Ultimate decal, not concept -someone else will need to sort that one!

Not to copy from, but these are the Ultimate specs

I believe my 1993 has an Ultimate Ultrastrong downtube as it has the external ribbing, the top tube is Ultimate Ultralight and the seat tube and rear triangle are Concept. It did though have a blue Tange Prestige Concept Sticker on the seat tube though, now gone as it's being resprayed.

I had one and thought it a 93 model but as pointed out to me Kona cato says diff..............style of decal is very diff from 93 to 94 ,i bought mine in 93 so thought it a 93...........it's that early release thing. What colour was yours?

GOt the green one from the 94 catalogue, but def bought it in 93 cause I spent my student loan straight away on it!
