Tamiya RC Cars

A great thread. I have a part time obsession with RC buggies. I had a Tamiya as a youth but the first car I built was a British Mardave Meteor which is somewhat more robust than a Tamiya. I got hold of a Mardave Cobra a few years ago that I tinker with & paint parts for & I have an original Schumacher Cougar too.
It's a great time for RC esp with the retro revival stuff going on & the re-re (re release) buggies & cars of old. I really need a Kyosho in my life I think. I'll see about getting some pics.

I have this problem too, apparently I only like expensive hobbies.
I have a vintage tamiya Boomerang with several built and unbuilt re-releases, including an avante and avante black edition.
I used to go into Beatties as a child in the 80's and drool over all the Tamiya's I could never afford, definitely itching that scratch now as an old bloke 🤣

Monster trucks are hilarious. I often find some vintage monster truck races on YT if I want a laugh.
I had a mudblaster bitd, so fragile.

They are pretty poor to run, but a mate of mine had a Monster Beetle and I thought it was really cool, so I had to have one for my collection 🤣
It'll stay a shelf queen, it'll look great in a display when I get round to making one.
