Well being a self-confessed weight weenie, and having a 10th Anniversary Syncros Ti Seat post in the 27.2/330mm flavour weighing in at a hefty 213 grams (shocker I know 
) I thought I'd have a go at making it lighter..
..Noticing the clamping parts on it are quite hefty, I played with a few different parts, eventually ending with smud carbon lower cradle, KCNC top clamps and Ti Bolts (M5 x 30), the results is a carbon/ti post which looks the biz, and the clamping seems as secure as before
This brings the post down to 169 grams which is in the ballpark for lightweight posts and retains its retro roots and add some bling!
