Oh bugger, I've just started crying...

Thanks for that, very appreciated - but more to the point, how the hell did you find it?!

I was looking in the sales thread - I'm sure Nick offered it up in an open sale, not a 'message me if you like it' type affair...?

I remember some larger size pics - maybe they're ones he sent me at the time? Who knows - long time ago!

Still makes me cry though!

Edit: And good to know my memory isn't failing me just yet - that thread is indeed from June 2007!

[As if I could ever forget. Nearly 11 years and still thinking about it...]

sorry to bring back all those regrets  :)

I just searched elites earliest posts, the one place you didnt look :)

Re:

I so remember that one off show bike and was very tempted at the time. It felt that a bike like that needed to be in a proper collection/museum. Not my garage (bedroom wall)

A badly listed bike on Gumtree that I was sure was a titanium Parkpre and the Cleland that was also for sale on Gumtree Edinburgh which another member on this site bought.

Re:

A one off white NOS 10th Anni FAT. Had the chance but i had to pay builders to fix a cock up that month

Learning to be happy with what i have though.

Re:

Much like BB mine was from a good ten years ago before some prices went mental. I had a sale agreed for a mint harlequin aqua fade Yo rolling chassis for around £600 to £700 from memory. Decided to sell some stuff before buying and with that taking a while I passed it on to next in line.

Gaar.

Re:

In the mid 90s the LBS couldnt shift 2 full Mavic mtb groupsets, they stuck them on 2 touring bikes and flogged them for a pittance.2 years ago there was an imported mint condition US spec Raleigh Torus Tomac rep (MT some number or other)and it was loaded to the hilt-Disc Drive,Revolvers,Graftons,Ringle everything else. The bike was only 50 miles from me and I could've had it for 450euro,AAARRRGGH it still hurts.

Re:

2 years ago? Even then a disc drive alone was nearing that. What a bargain missed.

My regret is probably not buying a nos you eddy in the green to black fade. Was a great price at the time too. It was sold from under my nose after agreeing everything. I probably wouldn't have fared build it up, so probably a good thing.

I had shelled out nearly 3k on a new stove so I didnt have a pot to piss in and was living on gruel and water for 2 months. The ad was in a local free ad site and the guy clearly didnt know the value of the bike. The Disc Drive had to be rebuilt, there was surface corrosion on all the trick bits, other than that it was solid and had an easy life.It didnt have the Tioga Showa forks(it had Mag 21s) but other than that it was the same spec as a Tomac Signature. It pains me to type this.

Re:

There was a Rocky Mountain Road Wedge on craigslist yesterday.
I didn't email to seller during work hours. Got home and it was gone.
Was only 20 minutes away from my house too. Hoping one of my locals
on here got it and will start a thread.
